Making Sense of Type 2 Diabetes
I got diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in 2024, and since then, I spent a lot of time figuring out how blood glucose works for me. I'm not a doctor and cannot give advice, but I want to share the information that I figured out in hope it will help you manage your blood sugar in the same way it helped me.
These are my A1C results:

The first point is where I got my type 2 diagnosis, and the second point is less than a year after, after adjusting my diet and controlling my blood sugar, and no medications at all.
On this website I'll share how I achieved this. The two major things I'm going to talk about are Continuous Glucose Monitoring and Low Carb Diet.
I'll also share my ideas on getting a type 2 diabetes friendly low carb meal in San Francisco Bay area cafes which I visit often:
- a low carb bowl or salad in Chipotle
- a low carb bowl in Five Guys
- a low carb Papa bowl and wings in Papa Johns
- a low carb no bun burger in McDonald's
I'll be adding more cafes in the list!
